## GPX heatmap generator

https://yikang.me/gpx-heatmap-generator/ is the page for a GPX heatmap or a running route visualization. It is the same product: a personal activity heatmap on a 3D globe. Upload GPX, FIT or TCX, or connect Strava activities. It is not a public heatmap of other athletes, and yikang is not affiliated with Strava, Inc.

## How the heatmap works

- Runs, rides, walks and other imported activities are drawn on a 3D globe. Zooming in turns the globe into a flat map.
- Heat is how often you passed somewhere. A single pass stays faint. Repeated paths glow brighter. Colour is not elevation.
- The density glow reads from the whole globe down toward city scale. Closer in, the same routes stay drawn as lines.
- This is your personal heat. It is not Strava’s public global heatmap. yikang is not affiliated with Strava, Inc.
- Connect Strava (read-only) or upload GPX, FIT, TCX, or a Strava export zip. Activity files are processed in the browser and saved on your device. The server does not store your activities. A Strava connection stores that authorization on the server.

## Price

- Classic, including the personal heatmap on the globe, is free. No card is required to start.
- All Styles Pass is $9.99 USD, paid once, for the life of the product. No subscription. It unlocks every map style, images and videos, and recorded pass counts for roads and points.
- Buy or restore at https://yikang.me/pricing/

## Also on the product

- Posters and route films, from one activity or a longer period. Classic exports are free. Other styles need the All Styles Pass.
- A sample globe is available before you import anything.
